You record demos with the Saltfish extension
Install the Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store
Sign in by clicking the Saltfish extension icon
Navigate to the starting page of your demo
Click the Saltfish extension icon → Start Recording
A recording indicator appears in the corner
Click through your product - each click is captured as a step with a screenshot
Click Stop Recording when finished
Your demo automatically uploads and opens in the editor.
Plan your flow
Know your 5-10 key steps before hitting record
Keep it short
30-60 seconds (5-15 steps) performs best
Start clean
Use a polished account with realistic data
Go slow
Pause briefly between clicks for cleaner captures
Extension not capturing clicks?
Refresh the page and try again
Check you're signed in to the extension
Some sites with heavy iframes may have limited support
Screenshots look wrong?
Ensure your browser zoom is at 100%
Try a smaller browser window for more consistent captures
